Members of Parliament have advocated reforming the BBC's funding model. They propose cutting costs and expanding funding to include areas beyond television. MPs also recommend scrapping the BBC's charter review and stopping the broadcaster from outbidding commercial rivals for overseas shows. The proposals aim to resolve the BBC's financial challenges as it faces a important juncture. The recommendations come amid continuous debates about the broadcaster's long-term strategy.
