Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Braydon Fisher was placed on bereavement leave Wednesday, giving him a pause after his dad, Don Fisher, passed away unexpectedly while traveling to see his son pitch.

The unfortunately death occurred during the hard-fought Jays' series against the Nationals.

The club quickly announced the leave immediately.
