Denis Richards was an English historian (OBE), 1910–2004), best known for co-authoring the three-volume official history of the Royal Air Force during World War II, published in the early 1950s with Hilary St. George Saunders. His service included time in the RAF historical section, 1943–1947. Post-military, he supported Morley College in London, fundraising for its rebuilding, and commissioning paintings for concerts that supported many young musicians.
