Hurricane Lowell slammed into Hawaii's western islands on Saturday, Sept. 12. The storm left damage on Kauai. Officials there asked visitors to avoid the island until the island has recovered. The governor of Hawaii sought President Trump for federal help. The Hawaii National Guard members helped with food distributions in Kauai communities following the storm damage.
