Liverpool FC went public Monday saying it made a surprise move for AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche. The club is now firmly chasing alongside Paris Saint-Germain. PSG turned down two earlier offers before Liverpool stepped in with a third bid. The 20-year-old forward has drawn looks from Premier League teams and also several French sides through the summer. Monaco is holding firm on its asking fee. Both Liverpool and PSG still have scouts watching the market ahead of the transfer window shut.
