Richard Harden represented for Somerset between 1985 and 1998, and also for Yorkshire in 1999-2000, with stints in New Zealand. He subsequently moved to the country, manages a financial advisory firm. his wife is Rachel Reese, whom he helped campaign for Nelson mayor, and they wed in 2017; the couple have three children from prior marriages.
