York City have said they have signed defender Zech Medley. He leaves Fleetwood Town following one brief stay. Medley has played in England’s lower divisions for years and also turned out for Bromley. The club states his arrival strengthens the back line ahead of the recent season.
He is set to compete for a starting spot straight away. Manager Jason McDonald says Medley’s experience will help a young defence. He must now earn regular game time at Bootham Crescent. The move forms part of York’s summer signings as they chase better defensive records.
