Two people passed away at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday when vehicles collided on the major Highway 401. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Five more occupants suffered minor injuries. Thick road debris covered the left lanes. Cleanup crews worked fast to remove rubble. Authorities blocked off that stretch of road. Investigators finished their review by around just before noon.
