Josh Worrell, Adelaide Crows forward, who is a regular player, was in a minor crash that occurred Friday before training period for the upcoming Gold Coast match.
The accident hurt a nearby pedestrian, who police then took to the hospital.
Worrell was not arrested at the scene of the crash.
Teammates told reporters in the media room Worrell seemed distressed after the crash.
Police now examine the incident as reported, and have issued a official statement.
The club has noted they will assess if Worrell can play in the game against Gold Coast, pending fitness assessment, if cleared, and will consider the decision shortly.
